Integrated Information Center for Youth Entrepreneurship

Description
The Integrated Information Center for Youth Entrepreneurship (CIIEJ) is a FNE facility that provides young entrepreneurs with the necessary, effective and efficient information tools for promoting their activities. It addresses the major constraints of youth entrepreneurship in Cameroon: financing, technical support, monitoring and especially the lack of structured information.
Context & Stakes

Youth entrepreneurship in Cameroon faces multiple constraints:

  • Persistent financing difficulties;
  • Gaps in technical assistance;
  • Insufficient project monitoring;
  • And especially, the absence of structured and dynamic information on opportunities, procedures and available resources.

Facing these challenges, FNE created CIIEJ to fill this information gap and offer young entrepreneurs comprehensive and integrated support.

Objectives

CIIEJ aims to:

  • Provide young entrepreneurs with structured and up-to-date information on entrepreneurship;
  • Facilitate access to documentary resources (guides, forms, regulations);
  • Direct young people to financing mechanisms adapted to their projects;
  • Provide technical support and guidance in business creation procedures;
  • Create synergies with institutional and private sector partners.
Target Audience

CIIEJ targets:

  • Young entrepreneurial project holders;
  • Business creators in the start-up phase;
  • Micro-entrepreneurs seeking to develop or formalize their activities;
  • Young people wishing to learn about self-employment opportunities in Cameroon.
Strategy

CIIEJ offers a comprehensive range of services organized around several axes:

1. Information and documentation
Access to a complete documentary base: practical guides, regulatory texts, directories of financial and technical partners, business plan templates.

2. Guidance and advice
Personalized reception, project diagnosis, referral to competent support structures, advice on file preparation.

3. Technical support
Help with business plan development, management technique training, support with administrative procedures for business creation.

4. Networking
Connection with CIIEJ partners (financial institutions, training organizations, professional associations) to facilitate access to necessary resources.

Financing

CIIEJ is financed by the National Employment Fund. All its services are completely free for young entrepreneurs who use them. CIIEJ collaborates with institutional and private partners to expand the range of available services and resources.
