What is the FNE?

The National Employment Fund (FNE) is the Public Employment Service (SPE) of Cameroon. Created by presidential decree on April 27, 1990, it is responsible for implementing the Government's policy on employment promotion, self-employment, and integration of job seekers.

As a reference public institution in the Cameroonian labor market, the FNE acts as an interface between recruiting companies and job-seeking candidates. It operates in all 10 regions of Cameroon through a network of 17 agencies.

The FNE is governed by a Board of Directors and a General Directorate, and all its services are completely free of charge.

FNE Missions

The FNE is notably responsible for the following missions:

Animate the employment market at the national, regional and local level, through its agencies and employment offices.

Develop information on employment and professional qualifications for companies and job seekers.

Implement employment promotion and integration programs for young job seekers.

Provide professional information and guidance to job seekers for their integration into working life.

Facilitate the reintegration of Cameroonian migrant workers into the economy after their definitive return.

Participate in promoting self-employment and start-ups through specific projects and programs.

Provide technical and financial support to micro-enterprise promoters through entrepreneurship training.

Explore employment opportunities and collect job offer information from companies for job seeker placement.

Promote the integration of young Cameroonians into the national and international labor market.

Contribute to the reconversion and reintegration of workers who have lost their jobs and may benefit from new qualifications.

Ensure coordination of government programs with high impact on the socio-professional integration of job seekers.

FNE Organization

The Fund is administered by the following bodies:

Board of Directors

The FNE's supreme deliberative body, the Board of Directors defines strategic orientations and ensures good governance of the Fund in accordance with applicable regulations.

General Directorate

The FNE's executive body, the General Directorate manages day-to-day operations and coordinates the activities of the 17 regional and local agencies spread across Cameroon.
